The big four rotbtd halloween by britney0793-d6soqo5

Tim Burton AU is an AU in the fandom where the Big Four play roles from the works of Tim Burton.

About the AUEdit

Spawning from fanart, this AU places the Big Four, and other such characters in the fandom, as characters from various properties associated with award-winning director Tim Burton.

Tim Burton is known for his vast visual imagination and preference for using outcasts and misfits as the focal point in his stories, as well as a use of spirits, Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny, a "Boogie-Man" (i.e. Oogie Boogie), Vampires (like Barnabas Collins) and other creatures in his work also appear in the fandom, fans would find a recurring focal point to return to. Because Coraline (a film who's main character that is loosely associated with the Big Four) was directed by Henry Selick, a close associate of Tim Burton and director of some of his most notable works, the odds of fans using Tim Burton's vast filmography is very likely.

In lesser cases, the Big Four would simply dress up as these characters for a certain occasion like Halloween.

Popular ScenariosEdit

Featured CharactersEdit

The Big FourEdit

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock IIIEdit

When paired with Jack in Hijack scenarios, he plays the part of Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas due to the both of them longing for something grander. He is also seen as Jack Skellington for the Hiccelsa scenarios. At times, he'll also play the part of Victor van Dort from The Corpse Bride in the Hijack and Mericcup scenarios.

Jack FrostEdit

Due to his shared name with the eponymous character, Jack Frost is most often seen playing the part of Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas, the skeletal marking on his body painted on rather than him being an actual skeleton.

In Hijack scenarios, Jack plays a genderbent version of Emily from Corpse Bride. Along with the part of Victor van Dort, for the Jarida and Jelsa scenarios.

Merida DunBrochEdit

In Jarida scenarios, fans like to portray her as Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas. As well as the part of Emily or Victoria Everglot from the Corpse Bride, for the Mericcup or Jarida scenarios.

Rapunzel CoronaEdit

While not as immensely popular in the AU as Jack and Merida, Rapunzel does hold a role, she is considered interchangeable with Merida. Most commonly, Rapunzel is portrayed as Emily from Corpse Bride.

In other circumstances, Rapunzel plays the part of Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas. They both have similar hairstyles, an overprotective parent that values them for their own selfish reasons, and a dream for something more.

Extra CharactersEdit

Queen ElsaEdit

In Hiccelsa or Jelsa scenarios, fans like to portray her as Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas, she is even cast as a female Jack Skellington for the Elsanna pairing. She is also placed in the Corpse Bride, as she is featured as Emily or Victoria Everglot.

Princess AnnaEdit

Anna is mostly seen as Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas, when Elsa or Hans is Jack Skellington. She is also placed as Victoria Everglot from Corpse Bride, when Elsa is Emily.

Pitch BlackEdit

With Jack Frost commonly seen as the Pumpkin King and Pitch being the Boogeyman with his own lair (and is the antagonist of Rise of the Guardians), Pitch is commonly portrayed as Oogie Boogie; the Boogeyman from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

The GuardiansEdit

Since Jack Frost is commonly seen as Jack Skellington and Pitch Black being Oogie Boogie, the rest of the Guardians are seen as some of the notable cast from The Nightmare Before Christmas. North as its version of Santa Claus, with Bunny as the pink Easter Bunny. As Tooth is seen as a winged Sally for the Frostbite pairing, and Sandy is between the ghost dog Zero and the Mayor of Halloween Town. Baby Tooth sometimes plays the role of Zero, as she and Jack get along well just as the Pumpkin King and his ghost dog do.

Due to her blue skin and hair, and the NervousTears pairing, Sadness can be placed as Emily from Corpse Bride, the ship also has fans portraying the blue emotion as Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Due to the NervousTears and his "fear jumping" nature, fans have Fear as Victor van Dort from Corpse Bride, the ship also has fans portraying the purple emotion as Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas and as Edward Scissorhands, due to Tim Burton's live-action film version of the story.

Hamish, Hubert and HarrisEdit

The triplets being a group of three young trouble makers, fans like to portray them as Lock, Shock, and Barrel from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
