In the Hijack and Mericcup pairing, Hiccup mostly plays Jane. In the Hiccunzel pairing, he plays Tarzan, that is raised by dragons in place of apes. As some fans like to imagine what it would be like if Hiccup was raised by dragons, much like his ancestor Hiccup II from the How to Train Your Dragon books.
Jack Frost
In the Hijack pairing, Jack mostly plays Tarzan. But in the Jarida when Merida is a female Tarzan, Jack is portrayed as a male Jane.
Merida DunBroch
In the Mericcup pairing, she plays Jane or a female version of Tarzan, that is raised by bears in place of apes.
Rapunzel Corona
In the Hiccunzel or Jackunzel pairing, she plays Jane. Fans have also cast her as a female Tarzan, as both Rapunzel and Tarzan were discovered by the ones that they fell in love with and had taught them things that they wouldn't have in their worlds.

In some Hiccup raised by dragon fanfiction, Cloudjumper had took baby Hiccup instead of Valka and had raised him as his own at the Dragon's Hide, so the Stormcutter is easily seen as a male and dragon version of Kala, when Hiccup is Tarzan.
