Golden Pixie Dust (not to be confused with Fairy Dust) is a magical golden glitter-like powder that grants the ability of flight. It is a precious magical commodity to the fairies and are kept after by the dust-keepers.

The golden pixie dust is typically seen as a fluorescent, golden sand.
Lore[]
Pixie dust flows from the Pixie Dust Tree found in the center of Pixie Hollow. While the nature of the tree and how it produces the dust is unknown, the dust holds powerful magical properties that grants anyone glittered with it with temporary power of flight. While fairies have wings, they are all but useless without pixie dust. When Blue Pixie Dust is applied, even if it is just a single grain, the quantity of the dust multiplies.
It is shown that the tree's reach stretches out to other parts of Neverland, as a root in the Winter Woods is found pouring pixie dust, supplying the frost-fairies with a steady supply.
In The Pirate Fairy, Zarina found a way to Alchemize the properties of the pixie dust to different effects, and was able to create a second Pixie Dust Tree in Skull Rock, allowing a surplus of dust.
Role in the Crossover[]
The magical properties of the dust are a welcomed addition to the fandom, a magical element that meshes well with the various forms of magic and wonder that can be had. Many fans have compared the Pixie dust to the Sandman's dreamsand in both appearance and purpose.
