The Truffula Forest, in full beauty
The Truffula Forest is the name of the beautiful forest and where the Truffula Trees grew in The Lorax.

The forest was home to Humming Fish, Bar-ba-loots, Swammy Swans and the Truffula Trees. The forest was untouched as Humming Fish sang and swam in the river, Bar-ba-loots would work together to pick Truffula fruit and Swammy Swans would fly over the trees and make their nests; but everything changed when a young man cut down one of the trees and the Forest's Guardian came to stop him.
After the Lorax and the forest's creatures save the Once-ler, he promised not to cut down another tree; but when his Thneeds became a success in the small town next to the forest and everyone wanted one, the Once-ler's family got him to break his promise. The forest was cut down for it's fibers and to make room for the factory that turns them into Thneeds and a city that the Once-ler "plans" to build. The more greedier that the Once-ler became, the more number of trees got cut down, until the very last Truffula tree was cut down; which destroyed his business, the whole forest, and causing the animals to leave, along with the Lorax as he left the Once-ler one small word "Unless".
The glooming, sad wasteland
Years later the forest and man that has made the destroyed forest his home were forgotten as everyone enjoyed their lives in the plastic city of ThneedVille; but when Ted Wiggins set out to get a tree for the girl of his dreams from the Once-ler, he crossed the large wall that separated the city from the forest and blocked the sun's light from touching the wasteland, Ted became the first person to see the "remains" of the once beautiful forest in years. Ted crossed the wall and into the glooming, tree stumped wasteland three times to hear the Once-ler's story and when the Once-ler ended his tale, he realized that the Lorax had left the word for Ted and that he is the one that can plant the last Truffula Seed in the center of ThneedVille and bring back the forest, in which Ted succeeded. When Ted, Audrey and Grammy Norma knocked down the wall, the forgotten forest was reviled to the town's people and the sun's light was able touch the land for the first time in years.
When the forest stared to grow back, the Once-ler cared for the many Truffula Sprouts, as the first Swammy Swan and it's Guardian returned home. It's possible that the whole forest had grown back and that the other animals came back to live in it once again.
