Descendants AU is a popular AU (Alternate Universe) within the Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons universe and Rise of the Brave Tangled Frozen Dragons universe. In the AU, Rapunzel, Merida, Hiccup and Jack Frost play roles from Disney Channel's original movie, Descendants. This can be considered an offshoot to Fairy Tale AU and Dark AU.

About the AU

In this AU, the members of the Big Four are portrayed as characters from Descendants, most commonly as the children of the Isle of the Lost and the four main Disney Villains; Cruella De Vil, Jafar, the Evil Queen and Maleficent.

The four (and other such characters) are also cast as the children (or siblings) of the villains from their stories'; as well as the parents of their own descendants. Like in the EU of the Frozen Tangled Guardians and The Knights of the Epic Brave Dragons, as Elsa and Anna are placed as Jack and Rapunzels' daughters and Justin and Mary Katherine being placed as Hiccup and Meridas' children.

The Big Four

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III

Hiccup the heir to Berk is casted as Ben, son of Bell and the former Beast, Adam and the upcoming king that gives four young villains a chance to live among the good.

Hiccup has also been cast with the role of a male version of Mal, Maleficent's daughter. The two both have dragons as their mark and parents that they try to life up to, if you think that to was hard for Hiccup to live up to Stoick the Vast, then emagen what it must be like to be the child of Maleficent; or Drago Bludvist when he is cast as the master/mistress of evil. Hiccup can also be cast as Jay, Jafar's son or Carlos De Vil, with Toothless as the dog, Dude and a humanized Red Death as Cruella (while Dragon Island or Outcast Island serve as the Isle of the Lost).

Fans have imagined Hiccup's own descendant to have inherited his brown hair, love for dragons, skills in drawing and tinkering, and loves the frill of flying in the open air. The traits that Hiccup's child would have inherited from his or her mother would deepened on who Hiccup is paired up with.

Jack Frost

Jack is trouble, light on his feet and charming like Jay, son of Jafar. Fans have also given him the role of Carlos De Vil, son of Cruella, not just for the colours of good and dark Jack, the two have similarities roles. Carlos put his fear of dogs aside when he befriended Dude and Jack becomes close to Baby Tooth, a tooth fairy as he opened up to the guardians. Pitch has been cast as both Jafar and Cruella as Jack plays the role of one of their sons. Jack is sometimes portrayed as Ben for the Jelsa pairing.

Fans have imagined Jack's own descendant to have inherited his white hair, his powers over ice and snow and would like forcing on having fun. The traits that Jack's child would have inherited from his or her mother would deepened on who Jack is paired up with.

Merida DunBroch

Merida didn't have a strong bond with her mother, like Mal did with hers and would do anything to prove herself to her. Merida has also been cast as Jay when the demon bear, Mor'du is cast as Jafar. While her skills in fencing and having a warrior parent portrays her as Mulan and Shangs' daughter, Lonnie.

Fans have imagined Merida's own descendant to have inherited her wild, red hair, talent for archery and her bravery. The traits that Merida's child would have inherited from his or her father would deepened on who Merida is paired up with.

Rapunzel Corona

Rapunzel is both beautiful and smart like Evie and the two both have villain mothers that take great care of their image. In this AU, Rapunzel is Gothel's birth daughter, she can also be cast with the role of Mal, while Gothel plays Maleficent. One of the jewels on Rapunzel's tiara can serve as her Birthright Jewel. Fans have also cast Rapunzel as Uma, when Flynn is Harry Hook and the Pub Thugs are Uma's pirate crew; while the Snuggly Ducking pub serves as Ursula's Fish and Chips restraint.

In the Descendants: Wicked World series Rapunzel has a daughter called, Ruby, while in the Frozen Tangled Guardians EU, she is seen as Elsa and Annas' mother.

Extra Characters

Queen Elsa of Arendelle

Fans have Elsa cased as Maleficent in the Maleficent AU for similarities and its the same with Mal. Elsa tries to be good, kind queen for Arendelle and her sister, while Mal tries to a bad and cunning girl for her mother.

She and Anna can also be cast as Hans's sisters or cousins, or as Jack and Rapunzels' daughters due to the Frozen Tangled Guardians EU. Fans have also imagined Elsa's own descendant to have inherit her ice magic, light blond hair and her blue eye. The traits that Elsa's child would have inherited from his or her father would deepened on who Elsa is paired up with.

Princess Anna of Arendelle

Because of the many similarities between the two characters, Anna most commonly plays the part of Evie. Especially when Elsa is portrayed as Mal.

She and Elsa can also be cast as Hans's sisters or cousins, or as Jack and Rapunzels' daughters due to the Frozen Tangled Guardians EU. Fans have also imagined Anna's own descendant to have inherit her blue eyes, strawberry blonde hair and the love that Anna has for her family. The traits that Anna's child would have inherited from his or her father would deepened on who Anna is paired up with.

Flynn Rider

Because of the many similarities (charming, light fingered, steals and looked out for himself) Flynn/Eugene is cased as Jay. Fans also see him as Ben, or Caption Hook's son, Harry Hook; when Rapunzel is portrayed as Mal or Uma.

Drago Bludvist

Drago has a dragon army by his side, while Maleficent can become one. Fans have also casted him as Hiccup's father when he's Mal.

Mother Gothel

Like the Evil Queen, Gothel cares a great deal about her image and beauty and she'll do the same with Rapunzel's as her birth daughter or when Rapunzel is cast as Evie. She can also be casted as Maleficent, as Rapunzel is sometimes seen as Mal.

Mor’du

Mor'du's history has casted with the part of Jafar and Merida as his daughter; for (nearly) repeating his story and is sometimes seen as Jafar's son Jay.

Pitch Black

Between the roles Jack is cast as, fans have put Pitch between Jafar and a male Cruella De Vil. Since Pitch is already a parent and has a daughter (in the Guardians of Childhood book series), she can serve as one of the many VKs on the island prison; while Pitch is one of the villains that was sent to the island.

The Modern Four

Fans see the Futuristic Four as the VKs (Villain Kids) of the Isle of the Lost. Violet Parr as Mal, Wilbur Robinson as Jay, Penny Forrester as Evie and Hiro Hamada as Carlos De Vil; while Bolt is the Campus mute Dude. Nomanisan Island or Akuma Island can serve as the island prison, while Western View Junior High, Joyce Williams Elementary School or San Fransokyo Institute of Technology serves as Auradon Prep.

Zarina

Since Zarina was the (former) antagonist in The Pirate Fairy and spend time with Captain James Hook, she can easily be cast as the captain's daughter, CJ Hook or be made CJ's sister. Zarina could also be portrayed as Ursula's daughter, Uma, for being a leader of a pirate crew and could even placed as one of the members of Uma's pirate crew, since the son of Captain Hook is one.

Moana Waialiki

Moana is sometimes portrayed as Ursula's daughter, Uma. As they both own a shell-like necklace that held a powerful item and had belonged to a female relative of theirs, lead a crew of sailors and are seen as girls of water.

Lady Caine

Since Lady Caine's father was a petty thief and one of the criminals that were arrested in suspicion of kidnapping Corona's princess, he could easily serve as one of the many villains that was banished to the Isle of the Lost; which portrays Caine as a Villain Kid (VK for short).

Caine could even be portrayed as Uma or one of the pirates in her crew, should Rapunzel be cast as Mal. As both Uma and Caine are leaders of their own pirate crew and with fans seeing Rapunzel and Caine having a similar rivalry as Mal and Umas'.

Heather

Since Heather has spent time on the side of Hiccup's enemies in the DreamWorks Dragons TV series and later sided with the Dragon Riders, she and possibly her brother, Dagur could serve as Villain Kids (VKs for short) living on the Isle of the Lost (as the Berserker Tribe was once at war with Berk); and were later given the chance to attend Auradon Prep. Since her father, Oswald the Agreeable was once known as Oswald the Antagonistic, he could easily serve as Heather and Dagurs' villain parent; and the reason why their villain kids.

Heather could even be portrayed as Mal. As Hiccup is sometimes seen as Ben and with some How to Train Your Dragon fans pairing Hiccup and Heather together; along with Heather's history of being an "antagonist" and Hiccup and the other riders later welcoming her as one of their own, and allowing her to stay on their island.

Kristoff Bjorgman

Should Kristoff be placed as one of the four main VKs, it would most likely be Carlos De Vil. As both characters are close with an four-legged animal, that stays by their side and do what they can to help their friends.
